Connector Compatibility: Questions to Ask
Confirm the vehicle inlet and the selected charger configuration.
Confirm the vehicle inlet and the selected charger configuration.

Start with the intended vehicles
Identify the vehicles that will use the equipment and the charging interfaces they require. A connector name or photograph alone does not describe the complete charging configuration. Use the vehicle information and selected charger specification together.
Ask for the exact product configuration
Provide the required connector type and ask the supplier to confirm the supported option for the chosen model. Check whether the cable is attached or separately supplied and confirm the agreed cable requirements for the installation.
Review the electrical requirements
Share the site voltage, phase and frequency with the qualified team reviewing the installation. The equipment specification, vehicle requirements and electrical supply must be considered together. Do not assume that chargers with a similar enclosure have the same capabilities.
Confirm access and communication
Connector compatibility is one part of the review. Where required, also confirm authentication, network and management functions. Ask which features are included in the quoted model and which depend on additional configuration.
Record the accepted specification
Keep the agreed connector, electrical and functional details with the quotation. When requesting a sample, identify the configuration to be assessed. Any later changes should be reflected in the final order information.
Confirm the exact equipment configuration and order scope before proceeding.
